Hangar 9 P-47 D Thunderbolt - 150 (ARF) |
|
|
Additional information about the P-47 can be found on the Horizon
Hobby website by clicking here. Up for sale is a nice used airframe. It features some authentic looking scale details including light weathering on the cowling, otherwise it is a fairly stock H9 P-47 Razorback. In addition to the airframe, also included in the sale are the following items;
The P-47 has only been flown 4 times, so it is in great condition. The airframe had been setup to use a Zenoah G-38 (not included). The only real flaw is a portion of the covering on the upper right portion of the fuselage just behind the top hatch (cockpit) where it attaches to the airframe. It is pulled away from the wood underneath. You can see what I'm talking about in the photos that I've posted with this Ad. Please look at them carefully as this is exactly the airframe that is up for sale. The flawed covering could be easily fixed, but I don't have any spare olive drab Ultracote to do the job. Please also note that the pilot figure shown in the photos is not included, nor is the on/off switch. If you'd like any additional photos of something specific, just let me know and I'll get back to you as quickly as I can. The airplane flew fantastic, very nice lines in the air and as
warbirds go, it is not a difficult warbird to land. Considering
the extras that are included in addition to only a minor covering flaw,
this is a good deal since these ARFs are normally priced at $570 and
they are out-of-stock. Asking $450.00 For more information, contact Shaun Zimmerman at stzim@juno.com. |
