JOSEPH C. MILLER MEMORIAL PARK - FLYING FIELD REGULATIONS

1. Miller Park Flying Field is open to all R/C modelers, but in the interest of safety, is policed by the Jefferson City Radio Control Club under authority from the Jefferson City Park Board.

3. Field Operations and Activities are subject to and require AMA membership, and field permit issued through Jefferson City Radio Control Club. Be prepared to display your AMA card and field permit to JCRC club members and the Park Board upon request. Persons without proper permits are subject to prosecution for trespass.

The Field Safety Officer (FSO)
or JCRC Club Officer shall inspect and approve all models and equipment before
flight and be present during the test flight or after major repair. The FSO or
Club Officer has the right at his discretion to deny flight of any model or
refuse further flying of any reckless or non-compliant pilot.
5. The FSO or JCRC Board Officer must be notified immediately of any incident involving bodily injury or personal property damage.
6. No engine break-in allowed in the spectator areas. Engine Break-in is only allowed at the break-in area. No engine running on the work table is allow. Adequate mufflers are required on all engines over .051 c.i. Engine Running is only allowed in the pit area.

8. All pilots will stand at the gate area, but not beyond the flight line while flying.
9. All flying shall be confined to the airspace in front of the flight line. No flying over pit or spectator areas. No flying beyond the area north of the eastern tree line and the 2nd taxi way.
10. Hand launching will be done in front of the flight line in coordination with the active runway.
11. All student pilots must use a trainer cord. Student pilots will not solo until properly approved by the FSO or Club Officer.
12. All transmitters must be in proper narrowband compliance. All transmitters must display frequency pin when in use. When not in possession of the frequency pin, transmitter must be off. All pins must be returned at the end of the day.
13. When a “Channel In Use Float Flying” frequency pin is in place, it is the responsibility of the second pilot on that frequency to locate and coordinate with the current pin holder. No pilot may fly at either location without possession of the frequency pin.
14. Automobiles will be parked in the designated areas only. Gate shall remain locked when field is not in use. Keys to the gate are issued with permit through the Jefferson City Radio Control Club.
15. No Alcoholic Beverages of any type allowed on premises.
16. Failure to comply with any of the Field Regulations, or the AMA Safety Code and Safety Recommendations can result in loss of permit, and action taken by the AMA Executive Council.
17. Before the test flight of any IMAA legal aircraft, in the interest of safety, a JCRC Club Officer must be present. It is the responsibility of the officer to perform a thorough safety inspection and a radio check before the initial flight. No exceptions to this rule will be permitted.
