Obituary of William "Bill" Stodgell |

STODGELL Mr. William E. "Bill" Stodgell, age 75 years, of
Jefferson City, Mo., died Friday, January 19, 2007, at St. Mary's
Health Center. Mr. Stodgell was born November 16, 1931, in Sedalia,
Mo., the son of William A. and Mildred E. Lander Stodgell, both
deceased. He was married on August 19, 1952, in Hot Springs,
Arkansas to Malvina Embry, who survives at the home. Mr. Stodgell
graduated from Smith Cotton High School and the Central Business
College, both in Sedalia, Mo. He served in the United States Army
during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a bookkeeper with
Jefferson City Distributors for 22 years until his retirement. He
was a member of the Concord Baptist Church and the Capital City
Campers. Bill was also the first secretary and treasurer for the
Jefferson City Radio Control Club for 13 years. He loved his dogs,
Tiffany and Travore, and enjoyed camping and radio controlled
airplanes. Survivors include: special friends, Howard and Connie
Carender of Russellville, Mo. Private family services will be
conducted. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4-6 p.m.
Tuesday, January 23, 2007. Those desiring may make memorial
contributions to the Jefferson City Radio Control Club, the American
Heart Assn., or the Jefferson City Animal Shelter. Funeral
arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary
