Obituary of Annie Johnson

JOHNSON Ruth Ann (Massey) Johnson, 49, loving daughter, wife and mother, passed away Friday, May 11, 2007, at her home in Holts Summit, Mo. Ann was born on January 20, 1958, in Lebanon, Mo., a daughter of Bill & Ruth (Marley) Massey. She attended Lebanon Schools and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1976. She then attended the University of Missouri at Columbia, where she graduated with a Masters degree in Recreational Therapy. She was married to Mark Finnell, and to this union she had two wonderful children. On May 19, 2001, she was united in marriage in Jefferson City, to Kenny Johnson, who survives at the home. She worked at Fulton State Hospital until 2002 and then worked at the Central Missouri Recreational Center with the Department of Mental Health until September 2005. She is also survived by two loving children: Jesse Finnell and Megan Finnell; her father and mother: Bill & Ruth Massey; grandma Opal Boyle; and many cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her caring fraternal grandparents: Hubert & Leona Massey; and her paternal grandpa: Kenneth Marley. She will be missed by all of us who loved her very much. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007, at the Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Holts Summit, with Pastor Mike Koelling officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Missouri River Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
