LORCS member Daniel Smith took pictures of the Lake area flying sites from a digital camera mounted in a Sig LT-40, one is from summer, the other taken in January after a snowstorm if you click on the thumbnails below they will open up a new window to Smith's site;

Despite the fact that it was unfortunately late in the fall of 2002, because the tree colors were already starting to fade, Zimmerman was able to get airborne again and take some still photos of what was left of the fall colors. Nevertheless, there were still some beautiful colors to be seen. Enjoy the following still photos of one of Zimmerman's Autumn flights. We are glad to share some detail photos of John Dussold's camera installation and setup on his Goldberg Eagle.

Click on the photo thumbnails above to view larger versions of the photos. In addition to paying close attention to the fore and aft balance of the plane, John added a counterbalance wing weight to the opposite side of the camera to keep the plane properly balanced laterally. When you put the weight way out on the wingtip it doesn't require much weight to balance.
