Sometimes this is what happens when two events are held on the same day. Some of us started out our day at the JCRC Miller Flying Field, then in the afternoon, made our way up to the Columbia MMRCA Heli Fly-In. Even if you attended only one event, it was a great day. Lots of relaxing flying and great food. JCRC splurged for the food and Chris Wilson was kind enough to take the checkbook and go pick up Lee's Chicken for everyone who attended. That, plus the other cookies and goodies that members brought, kept us full all day. Our oldest member enjoyed floating around for nearly 2 hours with one of his electric airplanes and two of our youngest members enjoyed a great day of firsts as Tom Gillmore flew around with his new Helicopter and Brandon Rex flew his restored Fly Baby for the first time. Stacy Gillmore captured a great photo of Shaun Zimmerman's electrified LT-25 thermaling along with 4 vultures. An entourage then headed up to Columbia to take part in their Heli Fly-In. Another great day of flying for all who participated.
