Any R/C pilot can appreciate the saying on
the back of Ben's shirt!

Nice views of nice airplanes including an
Alpha trainer that was also for sale with all-terrain wheels

Rick Poire brought down his new Matt
Chapman 33% scale CAP 580 with a Brisson 5.8 engine. So
nice!
We sat the two CAP 580's next to each
other. The big one belongs to Rick Poire, the smaller one to
Brandon Rex. Both were very nicely done airplanes. Pizza Box
combat is not a 'flag-football' sport, this is full-contact
combat. Last guy flying - WINS!

Watch out! The electric plane got a little
close for comfort as he went out to retrieve his airplane.
Then one of the best exhibitions of 3-D heli flying any of
us have seen with this very capable helicopter
This helicopter flew in every possible
attitude and was only upright long enough to land. It had
the quietest idle of any gas-powered engine I have ever
heard. Magnificent flying!

JCRC's Stacy & Tom Gillmore brought
their Tiger II which was for sale and Tom flew the stuffing
out of his profile Katana
Tom Gillmore was really pushing his
abilities at this event. He kept hovering lower and lower
with each flight. Excellent!
More of Tom Gillmore hanging it on the
prop - no help from gyros here!

Tom lands his Katana. Two very nice raffle
prizes were made available at the event.

LORCS's Daniel Smith shows off the very
nice Ultra Stick 60 that was the first raffle prize which
was donated by J
& S R/C Hobby Shop. Guess who won? NO! Not Rick
Poire, it was Harley Wilkinson! Way to go Harley! Now
another project to keep you busy in addition to marching
band and school! Harley was all smiles as he collected his
prize.

Next up was the nice Cessna ARF donated by
Mid-Mo
Hobby Shop as a raffle prize. Finally, after taking
pictures most of the day, JCRC's Shaun Zimmerman had to do
some battery swapping, but eventually flew his Sig Kadet
LT-25
Stacy Gillmore was able to capture these
nice photos of Shaun Zimmerman's LT-25
Shaun Zimmerman's LT-25 was clocked with
the radar gun at a mind-blowing speed of 13 miles per hour!
:-)

Feeling comfortable with the plane Shaun
setup to do a high-alpha inverted pass, but suddenly
realized that the plane was dead-stick, rolled up right and
landed, stopping at the end of the runway.
