Darrell Watts of Shawnee, Kansas,
brought this incredible Fokker E III. A photo of
Darrell's Fokker was also selected to appear on page 5
of the July 24th edition of the Sunday News Tribune, click
here or on the photo below to see how it appeared.

Now that Darrell knows what our site
looks like, next year he said he'll really bring some
nice stuff! Can't wait to see what he brings!

One of my favorite photos of the event
is the one on the left of Darrell's Fokker. Spectators
watching, photographing, and yawning. John Dussold's Big
Stick on a take-off run across the water.

The same Seamasters flying, taking

In addition to all the work he
performed, most of Rick Poire's family joined in to
watch him fly. Ron Horn's beautiful Sea Dancer on the
stand and one of the times it got stranded.

Roger Geller and Tom Gillmore on a
mission to recover Ron Horn's Sea Dancer. Also a photo
of Chris Bogg & Chris Wilson doing the same. Stacy
Gillmore at right explains how the floats operate to
some friends.

Stacy Gillmore's Alpha on floats as it
makes a low pass. Plus Dan Jacquin of Collegian Dogs and
the hot dog stand that kept us fed. We are so glad that
he was able to join us.

This very handsome seaplane is
reportedly a converted Sig Kadet Senior very nicely
disguised. One of the nicest looking and flying planes
at the event.
|
|
|
|
|
|
More of the converted Kadet Seaplane
and some enthusiastic young spectators fascinated by all
of the boats and planes.

Beautifully built-up balsa models and
transparent covering make for some of the nicest looking
R/C planes ever made and with the addition of floats,
the beauty of these pictures snapped by Stacy Gillmore
speak for themselves.

Very nice seaplane touching down, plus
some of the very unique aerial photos that were provided
by Stacy Gillmore and his modified Slow Stick that is
camera-equipped. Nice job Stacy!

More wonderful aerial views of the
event and Binder Lake.

|
After Stacy finished taking the aerial
photos, he changed his very versatile Slow Stick into a
Flying Boat and hit the roughest waters it has
encountered yet and did great!
