Click here or on the photos below to proceed to the photographs of the 2005 Summer Sizzler - JCRC News page

Please note that it may take a while for the photo page to load, your computer will be downloading approximately 80 photographs plus thumbnails and until they are all downloaded, you may see a frame with a "Red-X" in the corner. Be patient, eventually the "Red-X" will be replaced with the title slide and we believe it is worth the wait. After the photos download you can view them in either a "filmstrip" or "slide-show" format, just click on the appropriate link.

The Summer Sizzler event had everything from the smallest free-flight to the largest 1/2-scale R/C airplanes!

The MMRCA Summer Sizzler was held on Saturday, July 16th, 2005, at the MMRCA Flying Field in Columbia, Missouri. As always, Troy Hamm and the guys put on a top-quality show. For a very reasonable landing fee they provided some of the best flying and food in Missouri. The event featured nearly 50 registered pilots with door prizes a raffle, plus a swap-shop area. The only complaint one might have was that the temperature was typical for a Mid-Missouri summer, hovering in the mid-to-upper 90's, but the skies were a perfect blue, the winds that blew were right down the runway, there were so many beautiful model airplanes to see and they kept us well hydrated with free drinks! JCRC had several pilots in attendance including John Dussold, Shaun Zimmerman, Jim Crago and his grandsons, Stacy Gillmore, Tom Gillmore, Mike Anderson, Kent Imhoff, Gordon McEntire and Paul Pennington, plus lots of our friends from all over Missouri. We look forward to attending MMRCA's Chili Dog Fly-in on October 15th, 2005. Thanks for another great event!

I would also encourage you to view Andy Steere's great photographs and video clips featured on the MMRCA website by clicking here.

These photos were taken by Shaun Zimmerman, R/C Pilot and Photographer.

Please note: All photographs are protected by copyright. I love to take photos at these events of all the unique R/C airplanes and I equally enjoy sharing these photos with other R/C Pilots for their personal use. You may download them and print them if you'd like for yourself or your family and friends, however, these photos may not be used on other websites or for any commercial purposes without my written permission, violators will be prosecuted. Otherwise enjoy! In case you were curious most of the photos were taken with a Nikon DCS620 digital camera with a 300mm f/2.8 lens, but when mounted on the camera, due to internal cropping is actually a 420mm lens. If anyone would like a higher-resolution version of a photo for personal use or if you would like to share your comments with us, please send your request to info@jcrc.com
