JCRC's Spring Fun-Fly was held on, Saturday, April 30th. Rick Poire was the first one out there with the brand new frequency board that he expertly built, it looks great! The morning started out calm, but the winds started picking up at a high rate and, unfortunately, they were dead across cross-winds. The field looked great! We appreciate the effort put forth by Field Marshall, Jim Crago and all of the volunteers that have helped him get the field in such great condition. Chris Byrd expertly handled the grilling duties. The winds shut us down earlier than we hoped, but at least we flew. Mike Anderson of HobbyTown USA came through for us in a big way with the donation of a gas grill, $25 gift certificate and a Great Planes AT-6! Thank-you Mike! John Arndt, the new owner of Mid-Mo Hobby Shop also made a greatly appreciated, wonderful donation, of a new Hangar 9 Cessna 40 ARF. Thank-you John! See photos below of the donated airplane that was won in a raffle by Chris Wilson! | ||||||||||||
