The 2004 JCRC Christmas party and meeting was held on December 13th at the residence of Rick & Debbie Poire in Wardsville. Some members who had never been to the home, commented that they were able to find it, by following the glow of the Christmas lights that illuminated not just the house, but the sky as well! The house was so beautifully decorated that it appeared to come out of the pages of a "Better Homes & Garden" magazine.
The Club purchased pizza and each member brought at least one side dish for all to enjoy. Even the wives seemed to have a good time, probably talking about how much they missed their husbands ever since the men started flying R/C. There were 20+ people in attendance with stories going all evening.
A exodus was made to the basement to admire Rick & Richard's R/C workshop and hanger area. Rick was showing the progress of his very nice Great Planes Super Stearman equipped with a new Zenoah G-26 and Stacy Gillmore brought his & Tom's Goldberg Tiger II that they have been restoring, for all to see.

In the brief discussions of Club business, the Extravaganza for 2005 was brought up. For now we still need to meet with the Fulton airport officials to determine our plans for the event. It was decided that the Club would hold a New Year's Day "Fly-No-Matter-What-The-Weather" Fun Fly to be held at our field on January 1, starting at 11 A.M. Please make plans to attend. It was also agreed that more attention should be placed on our annual Float Fly and possibly make it our premier event, especially if things with the Extravaganza don't work out. If necessary, there will be a kerosene heater inside the pavilion to help keep the feeling in the fingers and toes.
