Tent accommodations were available to find a little shade, visit or nap in the summer breeze

Pilots launch their planes off the winch, then make their way towards the landing area. During the Unlimited 2M competition, the flightline was very busy at times.

I thought this was one of the nicest examples at the show. It is a very high performance 2M called an "Organic" available through Aero-Model

More examples of all the beautiful sailplanes brought in for the event. Some made of balsa, others made of Kevlar & Carbon-fiber.

Another high-end performance ship called a "Super-V"

A fine example of another Goldberg Gentle Lady - balsa is beautiful!

Above is a link to a video clip of the Goldberg Gentle Lady being winch launched by its owner.

Obviously the finest looking Gentle Lady on the lot! Okay, the oldest one on the lot, owned and flown by Shaun Zimmerman!

Guys came in all the way from Oklahoma and Iowa to take part in the event. There appears to be a well organized club in Tulsa as well, called TULSOAR

The owner of the flying site, Rob Dyer, (beige shirt, left) pilots his Scorpion sailplane along with other competitors.

The perpetual trophy and plaques that went to the winners of the competition.

To his total surprise and amazement, Shaun Zimmerman took 4th place in the RES 2M class and is presented the appropriate plaque by Steve Gooseman, event Coordinator!
