This is Leonard Gaither's really neat Kolibri slow flyer. He recently changed the tail feathers and it flew much better for him.. Once again, Larry, from Springfield comes up with another unique airplane with an equally unique name "Klingon around Uranus"! This is a very nice scale project of a Heinkel twin-engine WWII bomber that Larry brought. He did some high speed taxiing with it, not quite ready for primetime, but close. This is footage of another unique micro R/C plane that is decked out to look like a bird and in flight, it looked very convincing! Again, please keep in mind that each thumbnail represents a link to a digital video clip that is 1 to 4 mb in size. |
Another neat looking sport flying micro R/C airplane. These kits were available through the designer / pilot, Bob Selman of the GymDandy Flyers in Joplin This was a unique aircraft as well and the first time I had personally seen a small electric helicopter fly. It was really neat to watch and seemed very capable, Another video clip of the little electric helicopter. I believe this was a modified "Hornet" Obviously I was fascinated by the little electric helicopter, here's yet another video of it flying as the pilot landed, then took off - out of his hand! This is another airplane that I very much looked forward to see flying. This is a slight variation of Leonard Gaither's design of the "Sweetest Yet" Bipe, this one is made up to look like a Tiger Moth and really flew great! Another 'must have' on the list. |
Here is Daniel Smith as he participates in the event, with the takeoff roll of his GWS Slow Stick This is Daniel Smith making the circuit around the building with his GWS Slow Stick at the very moment that Larry embedded one of his foam planes in the rafters of the building! The shows a "humanitarian effort" by Daniel Smith and one other pilot who were trying to get Larry's impaled foam flyer un-stuck from the rafters of the hanger Much to the pleasure and entertainment of all present, this was the moment when Larry was finally able to free his foam flyer from the clutches of the rafters in the ceiling AND continue flying!! A true E-Flyer!! Click here to return to page 1 of the KC Indoor Fun-fly Video Index or Click here to return to the KC Indoor Fun-fly Photo Index - Page 1 |
