This was the first flight of the day inside the empty hanger at Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base. This is an tiny Megatech X-EC Diversion

This is the first of two videos of a scratch built "Wespe" a wonderfully constructed slow flyer built by Ken Spencer of the GymDandy flyers of Joplin.

This is the second video of Ken Spencer's "Wespe" flying around inside the hanger.

Don't think electrics can do 3D? You'd better watch this and the next video clips of Doug flying this model.

More of the 3D flying electric Sukhoi. Certainly NO lack of power on this model and it appeared to fly as light as a feather - a very overpowered feather! :-)

Video footage of one of the several IFO's that were flown this day. Good luck keeping up with these things!

One of my very favorite planes at this event belongs to Larry, a.k.a.  "Spfd-E-Flyer" out of Springfield with this "Air Surfer's Big Brother" This was the largest wingspan model flown at the event. Extremely graceful.

This is Larry's smaller, electric ducted fan, version of the Air Surfer. It screamed as it flew and flew great!

This is a foam Ultimate that could do anything the gas powered guys can do with theirs!

Some of the aerial ballet of the various IFO's that were on hand for this great event.

Once again, Larry, of Springfield, came up with yet another one of my favorites at this event. This is a V-Tail model that he scratch built.

This is Shaun Zimmerman's GWS Pico Cub on a take-off roll

This is a V-Tail version of the popular "Gymallo" parasail type plane flown several times during the event. Check out Bob Anderson's website for information about the "Gymallo"

This is one little plane that just blew my mind. It is a micro Slow (or Ugly) Stick that was absolutely amazing to watch and will soon be available as a kit or ARF!

Another fascinating model to watch fly was this dual autogiro. Remarkably stable in flight and certainly unique.
